We’ll be serving lunch and light dinner on Saturday.
Beyond that, some of the options we’d recommend are below — they’ve all been vetted by us! 🙂
🍔🍗🌭🥗 Simple American: Burgers, etc.
- Clark's [Google Maps] — Greek-American family-friendly casual comfort food; “NYC diner” vibes; most popular for breakfast/brunch ($20–30 per person).
- Westville Dumbo [Google Maps] — our favorite place for a burger and beer; they also have sandwiches, grilled chicken, steak tips… And it’s not too touristy for the area ($20-30 per person)
- Ingas Bar [Google Maps] — pub with lots of good food ($30–50 per person)
- Henry Public [Google Maps] — cute, popular neighborhood pub with some decent bar bites ($20–30 per person)
- Hometown BBQ [Google Maps] — maybe the best BBQ in NYC, certainly our favorite ($20-30 per person)
- Tavola [Google Maps] — sandwich (panini) and salad spot with a lovely back yard; technically Italian ($15-25 per person)
🍝 Italian (including 🍕 Pizza)
- Sottocasa [Google Maps] — some of the best pizza in the area! ($20–30 per person)
- Lucali [Google Maps] — the most famous pizza — Beyonce and Jay-Z’s favorite — though just possibly over-hyped; line up at 4PM to wait in line to put your name on a list for a dinner time; go do something else and then come back. ($20–30 per person).
- Aromi [Google Maps] — ****relatively inexpensive, super friendly ($20-30 per person)
- Popina [Google Maps] — newish, trendy Italian spot; also try The Hop Shop (beer bar) next door ($50–100 per person).
- Rucola [Google Maps] — farm-to-table Northern Italian, cute vibes ($50-100 per person). Anais, the wine bar one block south, is a nice pairing.
🌮 Mexican
- Buddy’s Burrito & Taco Bar [Google Maps] — inexpensive and authentic; neighborhood classic for over 20 years ($10-20 per person)
- Taqueria Al Pastor & Bar [Google Maps] — buzzy spot for quick tacos ($15-25 per person)
- Bar San Miguel [Google Maps] — neighborhood bar & restaurant ($30-50 per person)
